Bring a little rainbow magic to your crochet projects with the Llawen Fingerless Gloves (Llawen means “joyful / happy" in Welsh 🌈).

This is both a detailed crochet pattern and a step-by-step tutorial, designed so everyone can follow along. You’ll find two separate versions to choose from, one for right-handed crocheters and one for left-handed crocheters, so you can pick the version suits you best.

What’s included:

  • Full PDF pattern and photo tutorial for every stage
  • Supporting videos for some stitches
  • Long-form instructions written in full stitch terminology
  • Short-form instructions
  • Instructions covering different sizing.
  • Notes on tension, hook size and yarn type.
  • Perfect for stash-busting: use up leftover yarns to make colourful, playful gloves.

Yarn & Materials:

  • Yarn: I used Aran yarn – you can use any similar weight yarn.

This project is a fantastic stash-buster so mix and match however you like and have fun experimenting with colour combinations.

  • Skill Level:

Suitable for confident beginners and intermediate makers. This pattern is designed so that everyone can follow along.

The Llawen Fingerless Glove pattern is also available on Etsy

You will notice the Etsy price is a little higher, that’s because their fees are higher,

but I still wanted to make the pattern available there for those who prefer it.

What Makers Are Saying

The first but not the last. The manual is well-written and easy to understand also for German-speaking crochet fans.

Yipeeee! Just finished! Ok well I might have a lot of weaving ends in. I am so happy with how these beauties came out. As I thank The Topian Den for making the easiest pattern to follow. I will shout it from the roof tops here in New Hampshire!

One made and I love it. I used a 5mm and went to a 4mm for the thumb and round the palm cuff. Top Arm cuff I used 5mm.
